Hosting Made in Her Image Open Lens Showcase Aug 09 in Los Angeles

I love hosting events for organizations that have a meaningful impact in the lives of communities that I share a connection to and want to support. In August 2024, I have the honor of hosting The Open Lens Showcase, produced by We Are Made in Her Image, Wondaland, Janelle Monae’s Fem the Future, and Universal Pictures. Open Lens is a dynamic event celebrating emerging filmmakers.

Scheduled for August 9, 2024 at 6 pm PST at Universal Studios, this showcase promises a night full of creativity, innovation, and raw talent from young women in film. Hosted by yours truly, the event will feature short films by visionary students poised to become the future leaders of the film industry, each film showcasing unique perspectives and passionate storytelling.

As someone who is about to start producing films, it feels incredibly aligned to be hosting in Universal Studios’ iconic new theater on their lot. More than just an event, it’s a powerful gathering of creative minds, industry trailblazers, and arts supporters.
