Overseas, Church, Vatican!👩🏾‍🎨 Standstill/ Mannequin In one of the more purposeful moments of this trip, I got to carry my family’s home cross through the Vatican and to the Sistine Chapel, where I gawked and prayed in equal measure at Michaelangelo’s unbelievable frescoes. There are tens of galleries within the Vatican, which does not have a perfect history by any means, but is a place where you will inevitably feel closer to God. #ThankYouItaly

At the Fontana di Trevi, I finally reached the point of being travel-weary. What excited me most about creating the visual mementos to share & treasure - the makeup, the framing, the fits, the lighting, the ancient history combined with modern tech - no longer brought me as much joy. It almost started to feel like a chore. Because of the pressure to SEE and also APPEAR during this trip, I forgot to schedule a day to do ABSOLUTELY nothing. I forgot that in my normal life, I usually have at least one day in sweats, without a wig, in bed. I didn’t feel like I could do that with so much unseen and so much value to reap from money spent. My Fountain wish was for American politicians to start treating the right to a safe public edu. the way they treat the right to bear arms: with a shload of $$$ and policy. I think 8-10 days is ideal for a first solo trip abroad. Remember to do nothing sometimes. Thank you all for being so loving & supportive. You are why I have the bravery to do this.

I know I might be taking a risk putting oranges on the feed first, but we’re trying new things all summer 🤷🏾‍♀️📸 Snuck in some Positano because LOOK AT THAT HAPPY PUPPY’S FACE!

CHOCOLATE?! CHOCOLATE?! WITH OR WITHOUT GLASSES?! In Ravello, I finally found some peace and quiet. Sure, there are tourists everywhere. But just a few more staircases and around enough bends and you will find absolute zen. Warm limestone and moss. Archways, flowers, roosters crowing to the sky. Fog hugging the faraway buildings and brushing past your shoulders, through your nostrils in tiny wisps. It gives you idyllic vibes without being cold or unbearable. And, if you’ll tolerate the crowds for a moment more, views of a gorgeous coastline. Via Ruffolo (pictured, stony) is the reason why people go on vacation. To see the world, but to hear themselves.
