My business, Joy Ofodu LLC, has partnered with Dove, DirecTV, LinkedIn, Disney and more this year! I also lend my voice to video games, ads and others’ films. Here are my goals for my company:

My Background

I’m a proud alumna of the University of Southern California c/o 2018, Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business (c/o 2021), USC African American Cinema Society and Annenberg Inclusion Initiative.

During my days as a USC student, I started blogging about my encounters with directors, producers, and actors. I’m proud to have international follow-ship of my antics.

I began my corporate career at Instagram in 2017-2018. Prior to that, I worked on brands including Facebook, Star Wars, thredUP and the NAACP Image Awards. Here’s a roundup of me/my evil doings in the press.

Reena Patton – Talent Manager

With over 16 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Reena is a Talent Manager at John Carrabino Management. Her mission is to support and advocate for emerging BIPOC actors who wish to establish themselves within the competitive Hollywood marketplace, as well as working alongside A-list talent with impressive accolades and awards. She has a keen eye for discovering talent, storytelling, and the zeitgeist of current popular culture. She aims to create meaningful and worthwhile creative projects that encourage girls and women to aspire to their full potential.

Joy Ofodu is represented by Robin, Ferrenc and Erika at SBV Talent for Celebrity,  Commercial and Spanish bilingual voiceover. For almost 30 years, SBV has earned a solid reputation for finding leading talent for on-camera commercials, radio and television voice-overs, animation, TV promos, movie trailers and live events announcers. Donnita Shaw – Executive Business Partner

Donnita Shaw is a social media maven, who loves soaking up trends, and oftentimes (even by mistake), starting some along the way. With over seven years of professional experience as a social media manager under her belt, she has gained some deep insight into content creation and an understanding of digital content ideation and development. Also within entertainment development, Donnita helps to develop writers and teach them about the entertainment industry and so much more. In her free time, she’s writing a thriller feature, a romcom TV pilot, brunching or a combination of all three!

Isaac Deol – Head of Video

Isaac Deol (Head of Video) is the Digital Marketing and Creative Content Lead at Active Management with experience working as an in-house video producer/director to create content for large scale video content for clients like Killer Mike, Buddy, P-Lo, and 24kGoldn. He started his career through internships at companies like Roc Nation and REVOLT as well with a degree from USC’s prestigious school of cinematic arts. These days, when he’s not working, you can find him wandering the streets of Brooklyn and rolling around on a Brazilian jiu jitsu mat.
