I am beyond honored to have received the inaugural Rising Star Award from Kaiser Permanente at the East Bay Women’s Conference—the only conference of its kind in San Francisco’s East Bay that brings women together to connect, uplift, and empower one another.
This moment was especially meaningful as I returned to the largest stage I have ever emceed, dressed in the regal designs of Taylor Jay Collection, a brilliant Black woman-owned business based in Oakland. Huge gratitude to Fairy Glowmother for partnering with me on a Glowdega glow and for showing up in full support!
The Women Making A Difference Awards celebrate extraordinary women who positively impact the East Bay. Receiving this recognition for leading my entertainment company—just as we announce our first short film and launch our crowdfunding campaign for Enjoyment Endeavor—is divine timing. This is a moment of expansion. My voice is featured in 20 national commercials… now how incredible would it be to hire at least 20 crew and cast members for “Heart of Sunshine”?
Hearing the kindest words from Donnita Shaw made me incredibly proud and emotional. In 2022, I built a studio in my home, and it has since become the true vehicle for my creative journey. I dream it, I work hard, I grind—and I own it.
