I spent half an hour just staring at my blog’s front page, looking at all of the photos I’ve posted recently, my bio, photography, twitter feed, all of it. And I couldn’t help but frown; I got sadder and sadder as I scrolled along, comparing myself to others.
And then it hit me. I knew what was wrong with my blog’s front.
My homepage was ugly. Absolutely hideous. The way the twitter feed’s garish brightness contrasted with the charcoal-colored background, the way the page tabs sat blankly, expectantly and rather un-inticingly waiting to be clicked on… no, no no. It simply wouldn’t do. So what did I do about it?
You guessed it! I gave my homepage a makeover.
All it took was a new theme, new header and some color changes to make my blog a little less ugly. This digital makeover is probably for the better. Let me know what you think!
Disclaimer: I do not actually believe, in any way, that I’m ugly. It was all about an update on the blog’s aesthetic, the entire time.
Cheers,
I really like your layout! I didn’t see what it looks like before but yours is really lovely 🙂
