I don’t talk edu much on here but it has been a HUGE, formative part of my experience at USC and has equipped me to be the photographer, scholar, creator and woman I am today. Proud to sit at the keynote speakers table with these folks: From Left: Tim Brunold (USC Dean of Admission) Kirk Brennan (Assoc. Dean, Dir. UG Admission), Joy Ofodu (B.A. Comm) Milly Rodriguez (B.S. Civil Engineering) Yamilet Medina Lopez (Assoc. Dir. UG Admission) and Thomas Sayles (SVP University Relations) 📸: @ferniepena
As an honored & selected member of the Class of 2018 (and total admission junkie) I was granted the opportunity to open USC Admitted Students Day 2018 to 500 new members of the Trojan Family!
Missed it? Watch below:
TLDW? Of all of the history, experience and personal anecdotes I relayed, this was perhaps the most important tidbit that I hope the new USC admits take with them:
Had to put my own spin on a keynote to 500 ADMITTED STUDENTS of color and family members at USC’s Admitted Student Day! I was touched by the # of folks who approached me after, in English and Spanish, to tell me about how my speech inspired them to choose USC, how they want to join AACS or how they believed I was a part of #GodsPlan 😫 Brimming with love; comment if you want the link! #USC #uscadmission
The speech went off without a hitch, and I am so proud to call this university mine.
Thank you all for watching & supporting me!
