Hosting the East Bay Women’s Conference

I hosted my biggest stage with the world’s BEST support system💜❤️🧡💛

The @leshercenter for the Arts seats 700 people and I stood there from 9 am to 5pm (with a few lovely keynotes and panels in between) EMCEEING ALL DAY for hundreds of women!🤩

This is home for me. I was born and raised here, and it means so much to have been selected by @walnutcreekchamber to guide in the biggest women’s conference in the Bay Area. I danced, I made jokes, I did voice over warm-ups and improv, I did a meet and greet at @datingunsettled I produced my childhood story on the big screen : I was completely myself.

Wearing 2 gifted SMALL BIZ women designers:
@ninavalentina_nyc handmade Clay earrings – her first influencer collaboration. Multiple friends have already shopped from this gorgeous collection, get them while you can.
@maravalmade by @aquilafarrell two piece set – endless compliments and silky feeling. WITH POCKETS!

Thank you Mom, Chamber, @livingwithpickles@kerensouth@visitwalnutcreekca@cadydidsocialmarketing@bedfordgallery@rooftopwc@thecooperagewc and my loved ones for your support.

This WomensHistoryMonth I’ve been reflecting on the foundations and legacies I’m hoping to build for future generations of women to come.

I just got off the largest stage I’ve ever hosted at Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce – I danced, voice acted, live announced and was totally and completely
Myself in front of a theater of 700, all day at the East Bay Women’s Conference.

I could look up to the balcony and wave, notice that I had everyone’s kind attention.

And I did it as myself. A silly girl who owns her own business and is demanded both in and beyond the Bay Area she grew up in. For women who are looking at or to me for guidance, I hope to see:

⭐️ women who proudly identify as entertainers

⭐️women who are unashamed to pursue non-traditional career paths and don’t define themselves by who hires them

⭐️women who pitch their skills and services with strategic force

⭐️women who utilize their native accents, hair, and dress as they naturally appear in the workplace instead of code-switching

⭐️And finally – women who can make a living from their own Media companies. Only 6.1% of women-owned businesses in a 2022 study are nestled in Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation (Forbes)

That’s the foundation I’m setting. And that’s what I wanna see.
